McGill Student Art Exhibition
About the Exhibition
See us, Hear us, Learn from us
The "See us, Hear us, Learn from us" Student Art Exhibition was originally inspired from one of the McGill's Black Student Networks' Paint Night events. I deeply enjoyed being around fellow students, and sharing our passion in a safe space. This event sparked an idea in my mind: how can we create a space for us all to learn from each other through art?
The intention behind this exhibition is to showcase the talents that walk around our university, and to enhance the voices of students from racialized and marginalized communities. We celebrate our history, so why not give us the opportunity to speak out and take up space through art too?
To kick off this project, "See us, Hear us, Learn from us" Student Art Exhibition will hold three editions this 2022-2023 academic year:
-
Black History Month Edition, February 2023
-
Asian Heritage Month Edition, May 2023
-
National Indigenous History Month Edition, June 2023
